Candle 79: Video Review

My meal at Candle 79 was one of the best I've ever had. Everything about this restaurant is superb, from the food to the atmosphere to the wait staff. I had the pleasure of interviewing Bart, the co-owner, and Francesca, the manager, who summed up the mission of the restaurant and provided insight on veganism.Thank you to everyone who recommend Candle 79. I am so glad I went and I think it should be on the top of everyone's agenda when they're in New York City.

Rent a Live Christmas Tree!

Last year at Eco Gift 2008, I met Scotty Claus of The Living Christmas Tree Co, and I fell in love with his company, which rents live Christmas Trees in the Los Angeles area. Instead of buying a cut tree and throwing it out, rent a living tree for a few weeks! (I wish there was a company like this in Massachusetts for my family to rent.)

Here's my short video with Scotty from last year.

A few weeks ago I went to an event by Girls in Tech, called "Impact of Tech on Green & Good". It featured my friends Siel and Tracy Hepler, and I fellow green girls Sarah Townsend (of Social Vibe) and Sandra Sanchez.

Indonique asked me to try seven of their loose leaf teas, so I brewed one flavor each morning in one week. They were each delicious, but check out the video to see what my favorites are.

If you're in Los Angeles or Canada, I HIGHLY recommend going to see Robert. I had an incredible experience, beyond any massage or chiropractic work I've ever had. If you're not in those areas, look into Cranio Sacral work and give it a try.

Had a delicious meal at the new Veggie Grill location in West Hollywood with Christy of Viva la Greens: Chickin' Caesar Wrap, All Hail Kale salad, Sweetheart Fries, Bean Me Up Chili, peach iced tea and lemonade, carrot cake, and chocolate pudding.

Then I met and interviewed Kevin Boylan, the owner. He had some great things to say, and addressed the rumor about having the same recipes as Native Foods.
