I am actually thrilled and giddy that I have been able to trial the brand new Kind Organics multivitamin for the past month and a half. The more I learned about how this multivitamin was created, the company who created it —Garden of Life—and the collaboration with Alicia Silverstone, the more I knew I was ingesting the most healthy, organic nutrition in a multivitamin for the very first time.

Sometimes you don't need words to understand the magnitude of a photograph. All you need is to look into the eyes of the subject and feel what they feel. Photographed and written by Jo-Anne McArthur, "We Animals" is a collection of full color and black and white photographs, depicting animals in some of their most vulnerable states, whether it's right before their death or in the arms of their protector. Almost every photo affords you the opportunity to look into their soul and really understand them for who they are: individuals.

I love anything coconut: it's one of my favorite superfoods. Coconut is amazing and it is a super versatile ingredient to add into one's diet. I strictly use coconut oil for cooking and baking, and it can be used in multiple ways outside the kitchen from toothpaste to skin moisturizer. The multiple health benefits of coconut oil are astonishing: it has been found to help control blood sugar, control appetite, help burn fat and the list goes on. I am always looking for more ways to add coconut into my diet and thus I was very excited to receive the book "Superfoods for Life, Coconut". Note: not every recipe in this book is vegan or vegetarian, but a majority of the recipes are.

For some, pierogies taste like childhood. Others look at it and think it's an oddly shaped ravioli. Then there are people who have never heard of pierogies. Whatever camp you find yourself in, Polska's Mushroom Cabbage Pierogi is pure comfort food. Filled with sauerkraut and cremini mushrooms, these Polish dumplings are flavorful, to say the least.

Have you ever wondered if animals have intelligence or if they are capable of feeling emotions like empathy, grief or depression? Have you wondered what makes humans unique compared to all other animals? If so, then "Why Dogs Hump and Bees Get Depressed" by Marc Bekoff is a book you should be reading right now.

I am picky when it comes to body and skin care products: I only purchase products that are cruelty-free and preservative-free. If you are anything like me you know it is hard to find natural products that are reasonably priced, which is why I was excited when I heard about Ora's Amazing Herbal - they offer products that I am on board with.

Most vegans are familiar with the concept of farm animal sanctuaries, where abused and neglected beings find peace and happiness for the rest of their lives. Many of us don't spend our days kissing pigs and massaging sheep while simultaneously mucking stalls and doing office work. For those of us not able to see the transformation of "broken beings [becoming] whole again," there is "Animal Camp: Reflections on a Decade of Love, Hope, and Veganism at Catskill Animal Sanctuary" by Kathy Stevens, Founder and Director of Catskill Animal Sanctuary in Saugerties, New York.

I've been interested in incorporating more raw foods into my life for several months now, but as with any major dietary leap, it all seemed rather daunting. Time, money and variety were my biggest concerns. "Raw Food Made Easy for 1 or 2 People" simplified everything for me. It's perfect for anyone who has ever been curious about a raw diet, but doesn't have a ton of time to spare. Author Jennifer Cornbleet offers up simple recipes heavy in fruits and vegetables, without tons of leftovers sitting in your fridge.

I've grown up with many food sensitivities, the main one being sugar which tends to give me acne. So needles to say, food bars are not a big part of my diet. Most of them are just candy bars disguised as health food. I decided to give these give ZEGO bars a whirl because I figured that if any bars worked for my system, these would have to be it. In the end, I found myself pleasantly surprised on many levels.
