Internship Opportunity at Eco-Vegan Gal: Virtual and Los Angeles-Based Positions Available!

Are you a blogger who's looking to take your site to the next level? Would you like to build up your resume with social media and office management work? Things are getting really busy over at Eco-Vegan Gal and I could really use some help. I'm looking for people who are passionate about the web, have a strong understanding of the importance of wellness and sustainability, have can-do-anything attitudes, can work independently, and are seeking more online experience. This apprenticeship will last for a minimum of one month and you can do it with me at my office in LA or from your computer at home. In addition to receiving tips, tricks and knowledge you'll also get free products from my swag collection and the opportunity to accompany me to events. I'll also feature each apprentice as the Viewer of the Month with regular social media shout-outs to give you and your projects more exposure. This is an excellent opportunity to gain skills and connections to people in the health and environmental fields.

Qualifications:

  • Available at least 1 hour every week
  • Comfortable with social media and blogging (bonus if you have a solid grasp on SEO and HTML!)
  • Understand and pick up technology basics quickly
  • Experienced with word processing, spreadsheets and creative computer applications
  • Motivated with strong time management skills and attention to detail
  • Organized and can manage multiple projects at one time in a timely manner
  • An interest and experience with video blogging is a plus, but not required (there are opportunities to help with camera work and editing)
  • Bonus: work on a Mac computer
Examples of Responsibilities:
  • Online research
  • Article reading and note-taking
  • Assisting with newsletter content
  • Social media management
  • Website content development, formatting and editing
  • Email correspondence
  • Update calendar of events
  • Video production and post production

Compensation:

  • Apprenticeship will be unwaged, but there is potential to develop into paid position.
  • Travel expenses to the office (i.e. gas or public transportation) will be covered
  • Samples of products related to the website will be given (food, body care, home goods, media, etc), with an approximate value of $5-25 each
  • Opportunities to attend related events for free
  • Reference letter and job recommendations
  • School credit offered
