Separation anxiety

Tomorrow is a big day for me and Evie - the first day I'm going to try leaving her while I'm at work. I have a lot of anxiety about it, and I'm sure she'll suffer from some separation anxiety. Luckily I work very close and will come by at lunch, but I've researched some hints for dealing with separation anxiety:
  • I put together a play list of calm and classical music to play while I'm away. I'm playing it while at home and petting her, so she associates it with being relaxed. There are several CDs you can download. I really like DJ Doggy. My playlist includes music from Ben Harper, Coldplay, Sarah McLachlan, movie soundtracks, and Row Twelve. I have a feeling she'll like it, because listening even makes me feel relaxed!
  • I bought some drops to help relax her, from Newton Labs called "Nervousness & Fear"
  • I also bought some vegan chew toys made from sweet potato that were soaked in Chamomile tea, which are supposed to help with anxiety. Sam's Yams, Calmly Chamomile
