It's almost officially summer time and you know what that means - veggie burgers on the grill, yahoo! Sure, you probably eat plant-based patties year round like me, but there's something about the way they taste on a warm summer day... And I'm sure I'm not alone in having tried my fair share of vegan burgers over the years - sadly it's hard to find one that really satisfies. I've had dry burgers, burgers that fall apart, burgers that lack flavor... you know what I'm talkin' about! And to make things a bit more challenging, when I started avoiding gluten, soy and corn my options were pretty pathedic. That is, until I discovered Hilary's Eat Well, a company that makes delicious, convenient and low-allergen burgers that are gluten-free, dairy-free, corn-free, egg-free, soy-free, yeast-free, and nut-free! The woman-owned biz offers 3 pattie flavors and new bites that are great for kids.

You may be wondering if it's really possible for a low-allergen and plant-based burger to take good without the traditional ingredients of egg, soy, gluten, corn, and nuts, but in my opinion these patties rock. They crisp up really easily on the stove-top, on the grill and even in the toaster! You read that right - you can put them in the toaster for a super easy meal. Once they're heated you can do all the typical burger stuff (bun+lettuce+tomato+pickle+ketchup+mustard+avocado+vegan cheese). Or, you can get creative and crumble the patties into salads or nachos, turn them into meatballs, make sloppy joes - all these recipes are on the Hilary's site as a matter of fact.

These burgers are made from very simple, whole food ingredients, are non-GMO and are mainly organic. As an extra bonus, I just found out that their facility is solar powdered - awesome! Hilary's can be found at many natural markets across the United States at a price point of about $3.50 for a 2 pattie package. I've seen them on sale many times too (which is when I stock up).

I'm thankful for the opportunity to do a video on this amazing company and I hope you found it inspiring and educational!
