How to Watch a Google Hangout

  • Hangouts on Air are broadcast live on Google+ and on YouTube
    • Watching live on Google+ allows you to ask questions and interact (see participation instructions below)
    • Watching the live or recorded show on YouTube does not allow you to interact live but you can leave comments that will be seen by the host and other viewers.
  • You can watch on your computer or mobile device
  • Hangouts on Air are recorded to YouTube so you can watch them anytime

How to Participate in a Google Hangout on Air

Ask a Question

  1. Go to the Hangout On Air event page.
    • Eco-Vegan Gal events can be found on the EvG Google+ Page
    • The Q&A app is unavailable when watching Hangouts On Air through YouTube.
  2. You'll see a section on the right side of the Hangout On Air to post a question 
    • You can see the questions you submitted, what others have asked, and the answered questions. 
    • You can vote for questions you like by clicking +1 below the question.
    • The question currently being answered automatically appears at the top, and unanswered questions are displayed below it.
  3. At the bottom right corner of the viewing window, click Ask a new question.
  4. Type your question then Click Submit.
